Profession
Hydrologist
Range of Experience
Dr Rodda has over 20 year post graduate experience in consultancy chiefly in the private sector. Most of his work has been in the field of hydrological modelling and the use of GIS. He worked on a range of flood related projects including the development of continental scale flood catastrophe models and also in studies of water quality which have considered the impact of land use change on sediment and nutrient transport. He has pioneered the linking of GIS with hydrological models and used GIS for thematic mapping, generating digital terrain models, generating stream networks, mapping flood extents and 3-d visualisation.
