Key Assignments
  • Technical review of Bristol Water’s flow gauging, catchment inflow modelling and yield assessment for their Mendips reservoir sources, to support the company’s proposals for new resource developments.
  • Preparation of Water Resources Management Plan components for Portsmouth Water: review of resource zones, review of deployable output, water resources modelling (using MISER), climate change and headroom analysis.
  • Monitoring and auditing Scottish Water’s delivery of Strategic Water Resource Studies to meet new environmental standards; this work was undertaken on behalf of the Water Industry Commission for Scotland.
  • Update of catchment inflow data used by Yorkshire Water to run their WRAP and WRAPSim water resources models, based on analysis of data from Yorkshire Water’s regional operational database.
  • Review of supply/demand balance scenarios for Yorkshire Water, including: review of deployable output and water resources strategies using WRAP and WRAPSim water resources models, spreadsheet analysis of data on supply and demand and feasible resource options, analysis of headroom and outage following UKWIR guidelines. Preparation of Water Resources Plan documents.
  • Water resources modelling to evaluate Thames Water’s deployable output and develop operating strategies.
