Range of Experience | Frank Farquharson has extensive experience in hydrology and water resource assessment and development and has worked extensively in the UK and Europe and also throughout Africa, the Indian sub-continent, south-east Asia and the Middle East for the past 39 years. He worked as a hydrologist for Thames Water Authority for two years on groundwater augmentation schemes and development of real-time flood forecasting systems. Until 2006, he worked for the Institute of Hydrology at Wallingford in the UK (now called the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology), initially as part of the team responsible for publication of the UK Flood Studies Report in 1975, and subsequently on a wide range of applied hydrological problems worldwide. He has specialised in flood estimation and real-time flood forecasting studies, and on water resource assessment and management projects over a wide range of climates. |
