Year of Birth
1989
Nationality
British
Profession
Microbiology, Nanoparticle and Biosensor Consultant
Range of Experience
Cordelia has over 8 years’ experience in nanotechnology and applied biosensor technology within academia and water industries internationally. She worked as a postdoctoral research associate in Synthetic Biology at the University of Oxford, where she developed a new, minimal bacterial chassis, and demonstrated its use as a functional, non-GMO biosensor. Her areas of expertise include microbiology, biosensors, nanotechnology and environmental remediation. She has been involved in several research and consultancy projects, particularly in applying biosensor technology to natural and industrial wastewaters and microbiological assessments. She completed her MBA in 2019 and is particularly interested in the interface between science and business. She is currently leading two projects in applied biosensor technology for University of Oxford spinout company, Oxford Molecular Biosensors Ltd.
